I'm not very satisfied...
I bought this player a few weeks ago, 'couse my previous player spoiled.
I have a big problem with it: when I listen to music, pause it and switch it off, when I switch it on again, it creates a playlist for all the songs which are uploaded in it. So I can't continue listening to the song I listened last time. First of all, when I put the sd card in the sot, the player become really slow. It takes about 2 minutes to switch on. Secondly, in the screen appears the last track I listened, but after I touch the screen, it creates a playlist with al the songs. I tried everything, format the player and the sd card, uploaded the music synchronized by Songbird, I uploaded only mp3 files (no covers, txt files etc), but it isn't working.
And another problem is, that the player isn't working very well if you don't synchronized by Songbird. First I copied the songs via Total Commander, and the player always shut down when I switched it on. So it's a very sensitive device. (My previous "no name" player worked very well, it didn't need any programs to synchronize etc.)
So it's a big disappointment for me.

Good sound, slow processor/touchscreen, terrible "random play" feature
The user interface is simple and crisp, but the touchscreen and processor are really slow. When you press any button or the touchscreen, you have to wait two or three seconds before you can press any other button. That includes adjusting the volume, and then trying to skip a track (as an example).
The sound is good, and the sound adjustment feature (e.g. more bass, or more clarity) is really simple and unique.
The random/shuffle play is anything but, which you will soon discover if you have a long playlist, as you might with an 8GB player. In shuffle mode, the Muse will play the last song that was played, and then play the same sequence of songs every time. As an example, if you have 700 songs, it will play the same songs in the same order. It's the worst random play function I've ever experienced with an MP3/MP4 player.

This would be a better product if the sleep time was permanent, at this moment in time you have to reset it each time you require sleep time. To do this is a laborious job going though all the menus
Finding music is a bit laborious there is no information such as artist,Genre etc and the switch off or on is hit or miss
To receive and software update your have to purchase a programme recommended by Philips.

Poor touch sensitive screen
Overall this little gadget isn't too bad at all! But first of all you have to get used to it as the screen has a very poor touch sensitive action.
The overall sound using the "Full sound" system is extremely good, with a full range of base middle tone sounds..
Its ease of use can be a little annoying because there is a delay when you try to use the "hard touch" icons when attempting to open up the various sections of your music library.
It's one of those products that after awhile you get used to having to use extreme force to use some of the buttons, but its slowness in moving about inside its own settings while selecting your music is annoying.
