Wearable Biosensor, 30u./Pack

Find similar products

Philips Healthdot is a wearable biosensor, allowing health care professionals to monitor and automatically collect vital signs from their patients in the care facility. It is a single-use medical device placed on the patient's lower left rib and it continuously captures the patient's heart rate, respiratory rate, posture and activity, all securely transmitted every 5 minutes, on average, to the clinical information system. To access the data, Philips Healthdot should be used in combination with a clinical information system allowing health care professionals to check vital signs. In countries where Healthdot is released, out of hospital monitoring can be enabled by placing LoRa gateways in the out of hospital location, for example, in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). For now, home monitoring is available only in The Netherlands, where there is a Healthdot-compatible LoRa network.

Healthdot can be connected to the Philips Engage platform (‘Engage’) to enrich the data a patient can share with their care providers. In addition to the Healthdot data on respiratory rate, heart rate, activity and posture, Engage can collect and show data from other connected measurement devices, like SpO₂, weight, and blood pressure. The questionnaire, chat and video features of Engage enables clinicians and other care providers to make direct contact with their patients also out of hospital.

  • ** Only in countries with a Healthdot compatible network like in The Netherlands.
  • Philips Healthdot (“Healthdot”) is not intended for use on patients for which the nature of variations of the measured parameters respiratory and heart rate is such that it could result in immediate danger to the patients.
  • The Healthdot wearable is intended for use by healthcare professionals inside of care facilities. The data collection of the patient parameters may continue outside the care facility, by placing LoRa gateways in the out-of-hospital location for example, in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). Healthdot is not indicated for use in hospitals areas in which continuous monitoring of acutely ill patients is needed, such as intensive care units or operating rooms.
