Lumea PrecisionIPL - hårfri hud i 8 veckor

Philips Lumea Prestige is definitely the best thing I have ever owned. After reading the requirements that were needed in order for the IPL, I realised I was the perfect candidate as I have fair skin and black hair which made the whole process alot more exciting. I used this IPL on my legs and noticed the difference after the first use. The hair wasn't completely gone in the two weeks but there were patches on the legs where some places had more hair than others. I also noticed after the second use the hair appears more finer and is very weak that it is pulled out very easily. I am in love with this machine and would recommend to everyone. It also has the smart sensor which is a great feature and I can honestly say if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to laser then invest in this, I can promise you won't be disappointed. I would also like to add that before using the IPL, make sure the area is completely hair free by shaving or waxing as any hairs left just burn and create a horrible smell aswell as staining the IPL window which you have to remember to clean every now and then whilst using the device.

I have been using the Precision Plus (SC2006) for 4 months. I now only use it every 4 weeks and between this I have no hair (apart from the odd stray!) on my legs, underarms and bikini area. I have had professional laser, waxing, epilated for years, shaved, used creams...you name it, I've tried it! Well this wins hands down. It does require patience as results take time and commitment to a 2 week schedule but it is worth it. Its mess free, painless, gives no ingrown hairs and actually gives the best hair removal results I've had. I would say though that if you're not willing to commit to using it routinely it is not worth spending so much money on because the results wont be as good. You need to commit to a session every 2 weeks for the first 4/5 weeks and then a session every 4/8 weeks after that for results to last. I do this and its perfectly manageable and worth while.

I have been using for 6 weeks and I am really pleased with the results. I am pale skin with dark hair and use on setting 4 and my legs are nearly hair free. Tip for top lip - epilate week before so hair growth just below surface then use ipl. Very smooth top lip now.

I have used and reviewed the Lumea before on how I have found it successful myself but my sister for years has very dark patches under her arms where she shaves and although she would be hair free after shaving, she would be left with this dirty looking patch on her skin. My sister has been using my Lumea for about 6 weeks now and already the darkening on her skin has virtually disappeared. So not only is she becoming hair free, the dark skin she used to have left from shaving is now almost back to her normal skin colour.

I have been waxing since the age of 15 and have generally smooth, problem free skin. But, the frequency of hair growth and ingrown hairs has always been a problem. I've been using this product on my legs, underarms and the smaller attachment for my upper lip and chin since April 2014. You need consistency and patience and the results will be astounding. Once I moved past the testing phase, I increased the frequency of use to fortnightly and after 6 months of consistent use, I am not down to once every 3 months.

I have just finished my 5th treatment ( the recommended amount to see results) but I had great results from the first use. I have pale skin and dark, coarse hair and had only ever waxed or shaved before. The product worked best on areas which have previously been waxed, which for me, was my bikini line. Having to shave this area first was daunting as I get really bad shaving rash but the hair never grew back and has remained smooth ever since. I can not recommend this product enough and I wish I had bought it years ago. My leg hair grew so fast that I could honestly shave twice daily but using this for only a few months, I barely need to shave once a week now. I am hoping with continued use that I will no longer need to shave at all but the fact that I barely need to shave at all is a small miracle for me. Another benefit is not having to listen to another bikini waxer telling me I need to exfoliate more to avoid in-grown hairs!

I was fortunate enough to win a competition with Philips Beauty to test a Philips Lumea and to give an honest review. I was sent the Lumea at the beginning of November and have been using it for around 8 weeks. I previously used a combination of waxing my legs and shaving my bikini and underarms and I have what I would term very quick growing dark hair (much to my annoyance!) and even waxing for years had not deterred the quick and thick growth of hair on my legs. I had never even entertained more expensive treatments because I didn't know if they worked/pain element and because of the cost. I was a little nervous about using the Lumea, I read and reread the instructions before use to ensure I knew exactly what I was doing. I then proceeded to do a test on the lower settings just to check out the pain element involved but even at the top setting it was like a light flick of an elastic band on the skin on the more sensitive areas and barely noticeable on others. Certainly a lot less pain than waxing. I used the Lumea every 2 weeks as advised after shaving and after less than 2 months, I have already noticed a massive difference. There is much less hair growth in all 3 areas tested but in particular under my arms. I do not need to shave as often and after each time of using the Lumea I seem to have less/thinner hair coming back. At its current rate, I would say 4 sessions have reduced hair growth by around 50% so in another 2 months, I should be hair free. I was shocked with the quickness in which I got results considering I have very dark and thick hair on the my underarms and bikini. My husband was so impressed with the results, he decided to try it on his chest and he has had just as good hair reduction if not better himself and now uses it regularly as well. I would say the Lumea is definitely not just one for the ladies and is a great investment for either men or women. I am now a converted lady and will never again pay a therapist to inflict waxing pain on my body!! When I work it out, I was paying the equivalent cost in waxing/shaving blades a year (around £350) so in the long term I will save a fortune! Not to mention Philips also offer a 2 year warranty with the product as well. This is a great investment and I can't recommend it highly enough.
